For now, only the controversies are running fast: whether the trains in Calabria will be equally fast – before, after 2050 or never – history will tell. Certainly, however, the fate of the high-speed railway is now being written between Brussels, Rome and Catanzaro. And the signals coming from the EU – at least regarding the times – are worrying, beyond the more or less partisan political interpretation.
The 5 Star Movement has brought the issue back to the table of the European Commission, having presented a question signed by all MEPs.
