In addition to confirming itself in first place, in Roccella Jonica, one of the most well -known tourist city in Calabria, the record, already by the Guinness of Records, of the “longest dip in the world” has even been improved. After, in fact, the 4 kilometers and 700 meters reached last year, this year 4 kilometers and 850 meters were touched. To improve the record was a real army of bathers who found themselves and then, at the start of the organizers of the mega event, thrown into water with perfect synchronism. A very long human wake, this, which has affected, from north to south of the town, most of the Roccellese coast. A unique show of its kind and an incredible glance, with thousands of bathers of all ages along the shoreline ready to enter the water and, therefore, ready to improve the record.

The event was organized by the Municipality of Roccella in collaboration, in particular, with the Coast Guard and the company “Porto delle Grazie”. “An extraordinary, fantastic, unique result that contributes consistently to promoting even more, especially on the tourist level, the image of Roccella Jonica”, declared the president of the Roccellese City Council, Domenico Cartolano and the city councilor with delegation to sport, Fausto Ceromà.
