INPS, new Mothers’ Bonus: over 580 thousand payments already arranged for approximately 242 million euros

INPS completes today, 19 December 2025, the payment of over 580 thousand Mother Bonuses, for a total amount of approximately 242 million euros, to support working mothers with two or more children.

The measure, provided for by article 6 of the legislative decree of 30 June 2025, n. 95, converted by law 8 August 2025, n. 118, was regulated by INPS circular no. 139 of 28 October 2025 and represents a structural income integration intervention in favor of female employment.

Against approximately 675,000 applications received, the Institute has already made 580,238 payments, confirming a high response capacity and a significant reduction in processing times.

For workers who meet the requirements by 31 December 2025, it will be possible to submit an application until 31 January 2026. The relevant payments will be made by February 2026.

With the Mothers’ Bonus, INPS strengthens its role as a public institution oriented towards accompaniment, capable not only of providing services, but of anticipating needs, supporting female employment and contributing to the social stability of the country through simple, digital and timely tools.
