He started with a brace, Lautaro Martinez, at San Siro. An “idol” of the fans who gave Inter the first important points of the season. The Nerazzurri victory was not easy, but quite easy. The new players are already quite on the ball, but only Lautaro scores goals, as expected. Monza got off to a strong start in the second half, but Inter avoided a draw and doubled their lead. Inzaghi’s team therefore started off on the right foot, in a derby which theoretically presented several pitfalls, including that of the presence among the Brianza players of the former D’Ambrosio and Gagliardini. Inzaghi had introduced Sommer and Thuram, among the new players, while Frattesi, Cuadrado and Arnautovic had started from the bench. Palladino, without the disqualified Izzo, had also had to leave out the injured Bettella. In front initially Maric and not Mota. On the very hot evening at San Siro, the Nerazzurri’s good start was rewarded by a move from Dumfries exploited after eight minutes by Lautaro, ready to pounce like a bird of prey on the low ball from the right. The Brianza defense is weak. However, Monza is dangerous with a few restarts and a lunge from Caprari. But the ball remained in the hands of Inter, who came close to doubling with a diagonal from Dimarco. Some offensive action from the Brianza area, but no goals. In the second half a cross shot by Barella high and an attempt by Monza by Gagliardini and a save by Calhanoglu. A left foot from Dimarco grazed the crossroads. Birindelli and Mota entered for Colpani (bruised) and Maric. Birindelli also tried: high. Thuram didn’t get on a ball from right field. On the field Carlos Augusto (Dimarco), Cuadrado (Dumfries) and Arnautovic (Thuram). Machin and Pererira for Gagliardini and D’Ambrosio. In the final phase, in the 31st minute, a good play by Arnautovic on the left, a low cross and a winning touch by Lautaro. Caldirola avoided Carlos Augusto’s 3-0. Frattesi and Bisseck were also seen. And Carboni, another ex, in Monza. The people liked Thuram and Arnautovic a lot, but Lautaro more, even if he got booked. Sure Sommer. Among the Brianza active Colpani. Good Di Gregorio. While awaiting the arrival of Pavard and Colombo, the two teams started with enough allure, but the three points rewarded Inter. Deservedly, we would say.

Fiorentina’s 2023/2024 championship starts in the best possible way, leaving no way out for newly promoted Genoa, knocking them out against Ferraris 4-1 with goals from Biraghi, Bonaventura, Gonzalez and Mandragora. The Viola prove to be a great formation full of resources and aiming to be one of the protagonists of the tournament. For the rossoblùs, who presented the newcomer Malinovskyi to the 30,000 Ferraris team in the pre-match, the impact with Serie A was complicated: Biraschi’s goal was too little. Gilardino chooses his usual 3-5-1-1 with Gudmundsson behind striker Retegui, Thorsby immediately from 1′ in midfield; on the other hand, the Italian, who was a teammate of the Genoa coach at Verona, relies on the tested 4-2-3-1. Lots of news in the Tuscans: the young born in 2004 Kayode right back (in his debut in Serie A), Arthur in midfield and Brekalo on the trocar to support Nzola. The former Spezia, whom Italiano had had at Trapani, is ready to go, cue Biraghi on the left: the purple fullback moves the ball to the right (his weak foot) and pierces Martinez with a violent conclusion that goes under the crossbar. On 11′ the double: left-footed by Gonzalez who hits the post with a deflection by Martinez, Bonaventura pounces on the ball and makes no mistake.
Genoa felt the effects of this one-two and in the 40th minute they also conceded the third goal from Fiorentina: a corner from Biraghi, a header from Gonzalez and the ball past the Genoa goalkeeper. In the second half, the match resumed along the same lines as in the first half and the guests scored the 4-0 goal with Mandragora who pushed a perfect assist from Bonaventura into the net. This time however the rossoblùs react and shorten shortly after with Biraschi, on the developments of a corner. In the final there was also a chance for Retegui but Terracciano opposed the blue centre-forward’s header.
