The goalkeeper of the popular Tehran team “Esteghlal Fc”, Hossein Hosseini, was summoned to court after being reported for improper behavior: during Friday's match, a fan hugged him briefly.

He then tried to protect the woman and calm the police, who intervened to remove them and arrest the woman. The young girl, nicknamed Iran's female Jimmy Jump, jumped off the fence and ran towards the pitch to hug the goalkeeper, without wearing the mandatory headscarf.

Hosseini gave her his shirt and she waved it towards the fans, who shouted at the police: “Shame on you.” Hosseini was summoned by the football disciplinary commission after the match and was suspended for one match. He was also fined 3 billion rials (about $4,700). He later told reporters that he will pay the fine in honor of the fan.
