Ammunition ballistics fired from Iran towards Turkey were neutralized by NATO air and missile defense units in the eastern Mediterranean.

“A ballistic missile, launched by Iran and detected while heading towards Turkish airspace after crossing the airspace Iraqi and Syrian, it was promptly intercepted and neutralized by air and missile defense elements of the NATO deployed in the eastern Mediterranean”, reads the press release from the Turkish Ministry of Defense.

Debris fell in Hatay province

According to what the authorities reported, the bomb fell in the Dörtyol district, in the province of Hatay, belonged to a anti-aircraft munition used to intercept the threat in flight.
