IX International Salvatore Quasimodo Award: Calabrian priest Gaudioso Mercuri also awarded

Concluded the IX International Salvatore Quasimodo Awardorganized by Aletti Editore and attended by hundreds of people from all over Europe.

This is a special edition to celebrate the 122nd anniversary of the birth of the Sicilian man of letters, considered one of the greatest Italian poets of the twentieth century, as well as one of the greatest exponents of hermeticism. Quasimodo received the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1959.

The jury was chaired by Alessandro Quasimodo (president), actor, author, theatre director, son of Salvatore Quasimodo, as well as by Giuseppe Aletti, editor, literary critic, poet, creator of Il paese della poesia.

For the narrative section, it is a Calabrian priest and psychologist who climbs onto the podium, the author Gaudioso Mercuriwhich was awarded second place in the prestigious and coveted prize ranking.

Mercuri’s work has been included among the various Authors of the Fiction Text: “IX Salvatore Quasimodo International Literary Award”, by Aletti Editore, with a Preface by Alessandro Quasimodo.
