Juventus beat Genoa 2-0 at the Allianz Stadium and moved to -1 from fourth place occupied by Como, held 0-0 by Udinese in the Easter Monday lunch match. The first meeting on the bench between Luciano Spalletti and Daniele De Rossi was uneventful for an hour of play with lightning goals from Bremer and McKennie giving the Bianconeri a peace of mind that was only disturbed by a penalty kick from Martin saved by Di Gregorio. The Stadium thus confirms itself as a fort. Only Napoli (0) have lost fewer games than Juventus (1) at home in this championship. Only Inter (44) have scored more goals than the Bianconeri (32) in home matches. Ready, go and Spalletti’s men direct the match. In the 4th minute, after a series of headers, Bremer comes out on top in the area with a header that mocks Bijlow with the complicity of a deflection from Vasquez. At 17′ the 2-0 comes on the restart: McKennie triggers Conceicao and goes to get the ball back in the center of the area, scoring a moving penalty with his right foot.

In the 43rd minute, Juve also built the great chance to make it 3-0: Conceicao crossed to the centre, Yildiz fed McKennie a ball only to put it into the net, but the American shot high. The Juventus wildcard also scores a goal at the start of the second half, at the invitation of Thuram. Then it’s David who comes close to scoring a trio with a right-footed shot that hits the post. Aside from the errors in front of goal and Perin’s forced substitution at half-time (calf discomfort) for Di Gregorio, Juve played for an hour on a score without any false notes. Then Baldanzi’s entry breaks some balance. Genoa gains energy and takes control of the game with more continuity. The hero, however, is Di Gregorio who in one minute, in the 75th minute, neutralized Martin’s penalty (for a foul by Bremer initially indicated outside the area by the referee Massa, then recalled by the VAR) and repeated it on a sure shot from the Spaniard. Once the scare was over, Juve returned to managing possession. Also thanks to Milik, on the pitch in the 67th minute in place of David.

Vlahovic, however, remained on the bench, appearing not at his best after the warm-up. His condition will be assessed ahead of the match against Atalanta next Saturday. A crucial match in terms of the Champions League, considering Como’s match against Inter in the same round of the championship.
