To the International Circuit Naples of Sarno it was on stage fourth round of the Italian Karting Championship. The motorsport discipline that has always trained and prepared drivers who then land in the most important categories of motor racing, has returned to shine with its own light in recent years and, increasingly, drivers are choosing to compete on Italian and international tracks. Ermanno Quintieri is a very young driver who, despite not having yet reached the age of majority, knows how to compete on the most important circuits in the world, collecting satisfactions at very high speeds.. This weekend, in Sarno, considered by many to be the temple of karting, the best drivers in circulation had arrived to compete in the penultimate tricolor event. On a track considered friendly, Ermanno was able to stand out in all phases of the race, finally conquering the podium in his category. Over 220 drivers at the start and, of these, 33 in the premier class: Kz2.

Also in the category entry list is Ermanno Quintieri who, already in the timed trials scheduled for Friday, showed he was in a good moment, conquering the thirteenth overall time, which was worth the sixth in the reserved Under18 category. The format of the Italian Championship then includes 2 heats to be disputed on Saturday. With 6 positions recovered in the first and 5 in the second, Ermanno was awarded the 9th place on the starting grid of Finale1. At the checkered flag of race 1, victory went to Lombard Bertuca, with Quintieri who finished in tenth overall position and just a hair’s breadth from the “under” podium. In race two, a true masterpiece with the conquest of the sixth position under the checkered flag which was worth, at the same time, the second step of the podium in the category. “This podium is the right recognition for the great work we have done with the Praga team” – Quintieri said after collecting the trophy – “I was sure I could do well because last weekend we had already been fast. Ours is a path of constant growth and we will continue to work to be ready for the next events”. The fifth and final round of the Italian Championship is scheduled for September, on another iconic circuit on the international scene: the South Garda Karting in Lonato. You can bet that Quintieri will also be able to have his say in Lombardy.
