The toll from the two Israeli air strikes against the towns of Ansar and Deir al-Zahrani, in southern Lebanon, has risen to at least 11 dead and 19 injured. This was announced by the Lebanese Ministry of Health.
The raid
According to the national news agency NNA, “an attack launched by enemy warplanes against a house” on the outskirts of the village of Ansar resulted in the death of seven people and the wounding of three others.
The affected house was destroyed. This is reportedly the most serious toll since the entry into force of the June agreements, which led to a truce in hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah.
Hezbollah threatens an adequate response
Increasingly high tension in southern Lebanon, with Hezbollah threatening an “adequate response” after the Israeli raids in the last few hours which caused at least 9 deaths. The Party of God therefore once again urges the Beirut authorities to put an end to the negotiations with Israel which it defines as “humiliating”.
