The Provincial Command of Crotone, as part of the control and prevention activities aimed at protecting road safety, has intensified services throughout the territory in recent weeks, with particular attention to the evening and night time slots and close to Saturdays and holidays, periods in which the risk of dangerous driving behavior increases.

The results

The action carried out produced significant results: 17 driving licenses were withdrawn for violations related to driving while intoxicated and/or under the influence of narcotic substances, 56 vehicles were administratively seized and 50 subjects were reported at liberty for the cases ascertained during the checks.
The numbers confirm the widespread nature of the services: thousands of vehicle checks carried out on over 700 people, with a view to constant monitoring of the main road arteries and the most sensitive points of the provincial territory.

Repression, but above all prevention

The activity, aimed not only at the repression of violations but above all at the prevention of accidents, is part of a broader framework of institutional collaboration and also responds to the guidelines of the Prefecture of Crotone, directed by Franca Ferraro, which promotes coordinated and continuous action to protect public order and safety. The Provincial Command of Crotone renews the invitation to maximum prudence when driving, recalling that respect for the rules and the adoption of responsible behavior represent the first and most effective tool for protecting oneself and other road users.
