Six people were reported in a single day by the Local Police of Reggio Calabria because they were involved in a road accident while under the influence of alcohol or psychotropic substances.
And indeed, following the findings transmitted by the analysis laboratory of the Great Metropolitan Hospital, the traffic police service has ascertained that six drivers who had caused road accidents in the city in recent days were in a state of psychophysical alteration.
Emblematic is the case of a young man with a blood alcohol level detected at over 4 times the legal limit and simultaneously under the influence of two psychotropic substances (cannabis and cocaine).
For the six, in addition to the report to the judicial authorities, their driving licenses were also withdrawn and, for the two subjects under the influence of narcotics, the report to the Prefecture.
Also yesterday, following a targeted operation, 11 vehicles abandoned in the municipal area were collected. Two were also seized because, although formally running, they were not covered by compulsory insurance.
The traffic police service continues without interruption, to protect the safety of vehicular traffic, which from the beginning of the summer season to today has allowed, among other things, to surprise over 30 drivers under the influence of alcohol and 6 under the influence of psychotropic substances.
