In recent days, the first edition of “4fm – for Future Makers” has ended, the contest promoted by Kalybrì – IFM to support innovative, creative and impact entrepreneurial ideas. Marco Costa, a recent graduate in Business Economics of the Magna Graecia University, won the first absolute prize with the “Binbot” project. The jury, made up of entrepreneurs and innovative start-up experts, has rewarded its proposal for originality, strategic vision and potential application.

The recognition includes a ten -day trip to Silicon Valley, with access to the Cohort in October near Innovit, dedicated to IoT, Robotics and Manufacturing 4.0. To concretely support the development of the design idea. Ilaria Iammello, student of the three -year course in Oumg business economics, received the prize for the “best digital idea” with the “Travelmate” project. Also in this case, the jury recognized the originality, solidity and feasibility of the idea, assigning a voucher worth 3,000 euros to be used for specialist training courses offered by Kalybrì.

The “4FM – for Future Makers” initiative had been presented in February 2025 in the Department of Law, Economy and Sociology of the Magna Graecia University, as part of the management and business strategy courses, marketing and service management, active in the degree courses in business economics and business economics and management. The project involved girls and boys between 18 and 25 years old in a path divided into different eliminatory phases, with the aim of stimulating the ability to propose original and sustainable entrepreneurial solutions in young people.

Marco Costa’s victory and Ilaria Iammello represents an important recognition for the course of study in the Omg business economy and testifies to the effectiveness of a training course that is part of the broader project of the Department of Excellence of the UMG, focused on the issues of transitions and sustainability. A result that rewards the work of the research group in economics and business management, committed to promoting partnerships with local businesses, to offer students significant experiences of growth and experimentation, capable of enhancing their entrepreneurial and innovative potential.
