‘The Single Zes, with authorizations and tax credits, confirms itself as a decisive tool for attracting investments in the South and restarting a growth dynamic that has been missing for too long. This is clearly demonstrated by the almost 1000 unique authorizations issued by the Mission Structure (5.5 billion in investments) and the numbers present in the Revenue Agency provision of December 12th: in 2025 alone the tax credit will support projects worth over 7 billion euros. A result that testifies not only to the effectiveness of the instrument, but also signals the renewed confidence of entrepreneurs and investors in the South”. This is what the Undersecretary to the Presidency of the Council with responsibility for the South, Luigi Sbarra, states in a note.

”We are talking about over 10,300 tax benefit requests for 2025, with a growth of almost 50% compared to last year, when there were around 6,900. An increase that also clearly emerges from the volumes: 3.6 billion tax credits requested, compared to the 2.5 billion recognized last year. This is an increase that signals a real change in scale of investments and confirms the decisive role of the fiscal stimulus in accompanying the growth of the South”, continues Sbarra.

”The budget foreseen for the tax credit for 2025, as is known, is equal to 2.2 billion. Given the extraordinary success of the measure, we managed very quickly, with an amendment to the Budget Law, to guarantee an increase in the allocation of 532 million”.

”Thanks to this increase in resources, investors will see recognized, in addition to the percentage of 60% of the credit due indicated by the Revenue Agency, a further contribution equal to 15%, for a total of 75% of the eligible credit -continues Sbarra-. The Government’s commitment does not stop here. In the next few days, further margins for intervention will be evaluated aimed at further increasing the overall percentage of recognized credit. In particular, it will be possible to activate the mechanism provided for in the last budget law, according to which the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy and the SEZ regions can facilitate investments using the resources of the European cohesion policy programs relating to the 2021-2027 programming period under their ownership”.

”Concrete results which not only confirm the Meloni Government’s commitment to decisively supporting investments in the South, but which also open up the possibility of evaluating, for the future, mechanisms capable of immediately guaranteeing the recognition of the tax credit in its entirety, thus increasing the effectiveness of the intervention”, concludes Sbarra.
