Almost everything is ready for the 2024 Messina stage of “Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour – Futures”, an international beach volleyball event that will take place in Piazza Duomo from 20 to 23 June. The sand has already been almost all placed in the churchyard. Two main fields and two other training fields are under construction. A large grandstand will also be built on the “Central” while a village will be set up in the northern part of the square.
Dozens of athletes will come from all over Europe to seek the points necessary to reach the next Paris Olympics at the last minute. Over 250 people are expected to attend, including technicians and companions. A great opportunity for visibility for the city which is in the second edition of this event with Volleyball in the square.
