Messina, child in danger of life transferred to Gaslini in Genoa with an Air Force flight

The emergency medical transport of a patient of only six years old, from the University Hospital of Messina to the Giannina Gaslini Institute in Genoa.

The little girl, in imminent danger of her lifewas transported with a Falcon 50 aircraft of the 31st Wing of theair Force, based in Ciampino. The flight, which boarded the little girl in Catania accompanied by the medical team and her mother, then left for Genoa airport, to quickly reach the Gaslini Institute.

The flight, defined as “IPV – Imminent Danger of Life”, was activated at the request of the Prefecture of Messina at the Summit Situation Room of the Air Force Command, the operations room of the Air Force which has among its functions also that of arranging and manage this type of missions.
