The re-election of mayor Federico Basile interrupted the silence of ACR Messina: «President Justin Davis and vice-president Morris Pagniello wish to send their most sincere wishes for good work to the mayor and the new municipal administration». For too many years the topic of sports facilities and sports policies has remained on the margins of the city agenda: we hope – continue the top Giallorossi managers in the note – that this new mandate will finally bring it back to the center of attention, as a community that has an important part of its identity in sport deserves”.

Finally, Davis and Pagniello indicate the next steps to be taken after the absurd relegation to Eccellenza and in view of a season that will have to rhyme with redemption: «We are ready, after a fall, to get up again and gain new momentum, deploying important resources and a concrete commitment to make this path become reality, in a spirit of full collaboration with the institutions».
Then the news that Peloritan athletes are waiting for: «In the next few days we will present the Acr Messina project to the city: a long-term vision for the club and for the bond with its people». We need to start again immediately and vigorously with a clear and ambitious program: the time for chatter is long over.
