We just have to try to put in an important performance to thank those who allow us to do this wonderful job.”
And Turris’s initial path does not surprise Modica: «I highly respect Bruno Caneo as a person and as a coach, he is very prepared and has a team suited to his technical-tactical expectations. I saw their three games, they have enthusiasm, they play well, they are mentally free and they deserve the points they get. We, on the other hand, must bring people to our side through joy and fun and that enthusiasm that Turris used. How are we? I don’t know – says Modica with great honesty -, we only did two training sessions at the “Franco Scoglio” and, paradoxically, we still have to find the distances. We will try to put into practice what we have prepared in these 60 days, putting in an important performance and obtaining, I hope, the best result: it will be essential to give the best of ourselves, offering continuity to what we saw in Cerignola. If we respond well – continues the Messina coach – we will be proud of what we bring home, but the essential thing is to create the conditions to do it, having fun through work. The boys want to demonstrate that they can compete with everyone and that they are valid for Messina.”
