Today could be the “big day” for investee companies. The additional time that was necessary – and which, beyond the usual declarations, was certainly not foreseen – should have run out and the picture would now seem complete. The last decision, the most delicate one, concerns the presidency of Atm Spa, which was initially intended for the former deputy mayor Salvatore Mondello. An in-depth analysis of the legislation has forced the mayor Federico Basile (and therefore Cateno De Luca) to take a step back: for at least a year from the termination of the previous role in the Municipality, therefore until February, Mondello cannot hold top positions in the investee companies. The same goes for the former city councilors Raimondo Mortelliti and Raffaele Rinaldo, originally destined for the boards of directors of Messina Social City and of ATM itself, who instead will have to wait until June 2027.
There should be no second thoughts for the other “in pectore” presidents: Vincenzo Ciraolo at Messinaservizi, Francesco Giorgio at Messina Social City, Salvatore Saglimbeni at Amam, Massimo Rizzo at Arisme and Francesco Romano at Patrimonio. It remains a “hot” name for the ATM that of the new provincial commissioner of the South calls Maria Fernanda Gervasi North (already in the running for the board of directors of Amam), just as the quotations rise, to replace Rinaldo on the board of directors of the ATM, of Fabio Traina, of the Gonzaga association. Between today and tomorrow the puzzle should finally be solved.
