The collapse of a part of the perimeter wall of a ruin this afternoon made Via Carrai, the road that connects Viale Principe Umberto to Viale Boccetta in Messina, impassable.
The firefighters, the municipal police and municipal vehicles were on site to cordon off the area and start the first safety measures. However, it was necessary to completely close the transit of vehicles in Via Carrai, as had already happened a few months ago, precisely on the recommendation of the Fire Brigade due to the danger of the ruin itself.
A closure that risks creating quite a few inconveniences for the inhabitants of the area and especially for those of Puntale Arena. For this reason, work is underway to reopen the road as soon as possible.
