“It is the first of a series of meetings to restart the lost public confrontation.” This is the case, the Senator of Italy of Values, Dafne Musolino, the meeting held yesterday morning at the Hotel Royal, on the theme “The Messina we want”. “The reason why I decided to promote this meeting – says the former municipal councilor – was born from the belief that the sense of public confrontation has been lost in this city for some time. The hope is to inaugurate a new political season that returns to citizens the rumor that so far It has faded up to almost become an indistinct murmur, to promote a dialogue that I consider it is the first and best expression of democracy understood in its primary etymological meaning: the power of the people “. Round to the assembly, the senator said: “Here you do not see political logos, nor at the speakers’ table, nor on the image that represents our beautiful Messina seen from the sea. It is the representation of the Messina we want, free from the chains. The motivation of the meeting, in fact, is to reiterate in clear letters and aloud, that I am there, which I intend to take care of Messina and solve the problems that are suffocating it. But to do this it is necessary to help all, because I never believed in the model of the “savior of the homeland” or the lone knight, while I strongly believe that great actions are possible only when a community is created that works together for the change and for economic, social and cultural development ».
Present at the meeting, at the speakers’ table, Ninni Petrella, president of the political movement “Let’s start from here”who recently “provocatively” launched the candidacy for mayor of Dafne Musolino, and who explained the reasons, and the former rector and member of the regional control room of Italy Viva, Fabrizio Micari.
Gaetano Sciacca, former chief engineer of the Civil Engineer and President of the 3S committee, who illustrated all the city critical issues related to the roads and protection of streams have taken the floor, among others,; The architect Nino Principato, according to which “the city of Messina today proves once again that he has not at heart and not knowing how to enhance his rich cultural heritage”; Lillo D’Amico, secretary of the Fit Cisl of Messina; Renato Coletta, councilor of the IV Municipality.
Many of those present were ex “Deluchians”, like the Senator herself (who was the councilor in the 4 years of government of the city by Cateno De Luca and who had been reconfirmed in the Basile Council, from which she resigned once elected to the palace Madama), who now intend to promote an alliance of political and social forces among those who oppose the current city council, in view of the real political objective: that linked to the administrative elections, expected in two years, in the spring of 2027.
