The day when the Messina renew their sense of belonging that branch of faith and devotion to Mary, venerated with the title of Madonna della Lettera.
The long day of celebration began with the solemn act of intronation of the hair inside the pine cone at the top of the fercolo made by Lio Gangani and decorated with 450 roses, and continued with the solemn mass presided over by the bishop of Cefalù Giuseppe Marciante and concelebrated by the bishops of Messina Giovanni Accolla and Di Pietro, of Nicosia Schillaci and by the Ementor of Reggio Calabria Bovario Vittorio Mondello.
In the afternoon the traditional procession through the streets of the center transmitted with the LIVE of RTP took place to start by collecting voices and faces of devotion.
The fireworks show that concluded the traditional day dedicated to the Madonna della Lettera.
