The Strategic Management of the IRCCS “Bonino Pulejo” Neurolesi Center of Messina has completed the process of conferring highly professional managerial positions, with departmental value and for complex structures.
This is a significant step, the result of a work of discussion and sharing that involved company management, professionals and trade unions, with a view to guaranteeing transparency, merit and valorisation of skills.
“A result that is the result of synergistic work that enhances internal skills and strengthens the organization for the benefit of the community,” declared General Director Maurizio Lanza, underlining the importance of the shared path that accompanied the adoption of the provision.

The measure restores full operation to a contractual institution that had remained suspended for a long time, thus representing a step forward in company organization and in the valorisation of internal professionalism.
The assignments are not only a recognition of the skills acquired, but also a further stimulus to the motivation of the IRCCS professionals, who qualify the healthcare offer with their commitment. Investing in human capital means making the Institute more attractive, retaining and enhancing, in a meritocratic logic, the best resources even in an area that presents particular challenges, but also great opportunities for growth and innovation.

The assigned tasks concern specialists belonging to the following operational units:

– UOC Neurology – Dr. Riccardo Lo Presti “Centre for the diagnosis and treatment of headaches
– UOC Cardiology – Dr. Giuseppe Picciolo “Electrophysiological Arrhythmology and Cardiostimulation”
– UOC Admission and Emergency Medicine – Dr. Francesco Mamone “Intensive short observation”
– Neurorehabilitation UOC – Dr. Rocco Salvatore Calabrò “Advanced technologies in Neurorehabilitation”
– – Functional Recovery and Rehabilitation Unit – Dr. Arcadi Francesca Antonia “Intensive post-stroke rehabilitation and neurosonological diagnosis techniques”
– Intensive Care Unit – Dr. Lorenza Mazzeo “Responsible for the local coordination of procurement of organs and tissues and assessment of brain death”
– UOC Radiology – Dr. Simona Cammaroto “Quantitative and functional MRI in the field of neuroradiology”

A broad set of skills that strengthen the quality of healthcare provision and the efficiency of services aimed at citizens.
With this act, the Neurolesi Center confirms its commitment to promoting a healthcare model based on competence, responsibility and the ability to respond increasingly effectively to the health needs of the territory.
