Messina, the city council on ATM issues becomes a “trial” for the president

For the umpteenth time in the city council we talk about ATM, its management, the issue of canceled races and the even more thorny issue of the continuous internal conflicts with the unions. But in the end a sort of trial emerges among the top management of the transport company and, in particular, the president Carla Grillo. A trial of the (professional) lawyer… without a (political) defense lawyer. Thus the climate becomes more and more heated, inside the hall of Palazzo Zanca, before reaching the convulsive finale: the motion is put to the vote – presented by Dario Carbone of Fratelli d’Italia – which asks the ATM to distribute a questionnaire within the company for a sort of strictly anonymous survey among employees on the level of satisfaction with the management. The majority of the Basile administration leaves the chamber indignantly, the motion thus passes unanimously (in extraordinary municipal councils there is no quorum) and the proceedings thus conclude.
