The Municipal Administration and the Special Company Messina Social City announce the start of the first phase of the fertility project with the publication of the public notice for the activation of social inclusion bags.
The initiative is part of the political-administrative vision launched in 2018 with the then Mayor Cateno De Luca and today carried out with determination by the mayor Federico Basile, oriented to build a community welfare that goes beyond the regeneration of urban spaces, placing people and their self-determination, social inclusion and collective growth in the center.
Social inclusion bags, with a total equipment of 530 opportunities, represent a concrete response to the needs of those who live situations of discomfort and are configured not only as economic support, but as a personal and community activation path.
Training, orientation, insertion in public, private and third sector bodies, social inclusion bags therefore become concrete tools to transform fragility into a resource, returning dignity, skills and protagonism. The impact of this measure goes well beyond the individual benefit.
Each scholarship becomes part of a generative process of social regeneration that strengthens the ties of solidarity, reduces inequalities and promotes a community that grows together. It is an investment on the future of the city, which aims to reduce marginalization, to build support networks and facilitate entry or reintegration into the productive and educational fabric. The choice to start this action within the fertility project is strategic: in fact, the opening of the Social Innovation Lab will be followed, a permanent structure that will offer spaces, tools and services to consolidate the impact of inclusive measures and stimulate new social economies.
Innovation and innovation thus become two interconnected levers, capable of generating structural changes in the long run. This measure is the concrete testimony of the will of the municipal administration and the Messina Social City to build an innovative, inclusive and participatory welfare model, where no one is left behind and where fragility becomes a renewal engine for the entire city.
The platform at this link for the presentation of the applications will be active from 12.00 tomorrow, Tuesday 7 October 2025 and until 18.00 on 22 October 2025.
For information and support, the offices of the Messina Social City will be available from Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 13:00 and on Tuesday and Thursday also from 15:00 to 17:00, at PalaCultura, fourth floor, room 6. With this notice a path starts that combines attention to people, social innovation and territorial development, with the aim of returning to Messina not only support tools, but new community prospects.
