The ATM lines that connect the city of Messina with the municipality of Villafranca Tirrena rise to three. From May 1st, in fact, the lines 25 (plaster) and 26 (willow) also prolong their path to the terminus in via Leonardo Sciascia, which is located in the heart of Villafranca Tirrena. The service of the transport company is added to the one started last March for line 33, which in recent months has obtained a high liking by the user.
“ATM has decided to further enhance the Messina – Villafranca connection, because the numbers show that the choice adopted a few months ago had an excellent response among users. This further service intercepts the demand from an important slice of users and certainly makes a further qualitative leap to local public transport. Thus the mayor Federico Basile.
The words of the first citizen echo those of the president of the transport company, Carla Grillo: “The residents of the Tyrrhenian municipalities of the Messina province are increasingly numerous to choose public transport to reach the capital for work or study reasons. The service started a few days ago is part of the company’s initiatives to improve local public transport and increase connections with the centers of the area, also in view of the summer season”.
