With regard to the recent electrical disservices that have affected the Messina electricity network, E-Distribuzione, the company of the Enel Group that manages the medium and low voltage electricity grid, believes it appropriate to specify that the reported episodes are a direct consequence of the high recorded temperatures, which have generated some short and temporary interruptions in the supply of electricity.
The company also specifies that These interruptions should not cause malfunctions to the pumps of the water systems managed by AMAM, except in the absence of the technical protections commonly available to prevent them.
E-Distribution underlines that the interruptions that occurred, albeit unpleasant, fall within the physiology of the energy distribution system, especially in adverse climatic conditions, as in the case in question.
In a spirit of full collaboration with Amam, E-Distribuzione immediately offered its support to provide clarifications on the incident and share technical solutions aimed at improving the resilience of customer systems.
The company also confirms its constant commitment to strengthening the quality and reliability of the distribution service, while reiterating that some interruptions, such as those that occurred, are not always foreseeable
