There are 16 fires in progress in Sicily in which the firefighters and foresters are intervening. Three in the Agrigento area, two in the Nisseno and Messina areas, five in the Catania area, one respectively in the Palermo area, in the Ragusa area, in the Syracuse area and one in the Trapani area.
In the Agrigento area the fires broke out in Aragona in the Aranciteddi district and in Sciacca in the Saraceno district, in the Catanese area in Adrano, in the Luna district, in Belpasso in the cemetery area, in Calatabiano. Canadairs were also involved in the latter fire. More fires in the Messina area in Galati Mamertino in the Pritti district, in Palermo in Mount Pellegrino, in the Ragusa area in Monterosso Alma in the Gugni district and in the Syracuse area in Monasteri di Sotto.
