It is a Sunday full of events for Italy at the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games. Today, 15 February, the twelfth day of the program offers finals and key competitions in various disciplines, with numerous Italian athletes competing between morning and afternoon.

Alpine skiing, the female giant

The spotlight is on the women’s giant slalom, one of the most anticipated races of the day. Federica Brignone, Sofia Goggia, Lara Della Mea and Asja Zenere take to the Tofane slopes, all looking for a prestigious result in a specialty that can bring satisfaction to Italy. The competition is divided into two heats, which are decisive for the awarding of medals.

Biathlon, curling and monobob

There will also be space for the biathlon with the men’s pursuit over 12.5 kilometres: Tommaso Giacomel, Lukas Hofer and Nicola Romanin competing, called upon to perform a test of great continuity between skiing and the shooting range in a challenge of a very high technical level.

In men’s curling, Italy faces Norway in the round robin, an important match in terms of ranking and qualification for the subsequent stages of the tournament.

The day ends with the women’s monobob, where Giada Andreutti and Simona De Silvestro are involved in today’s heats, with the aim of improving their overall placing.

Another intense day, therefore, for the Italian team, which continues to chase results and medals in the home Olympics, in front of the Italian public.
