On Sunday 4 January 2026 from 6.30 to 7.30 in Milazzo, all buildings that fall within the indicated red zone will have to be evacuated for the safety of citizens, during the clearance operations of the explosive device found in a private area in via Migliavacca near number 35. The date, due to the complex authorization process or due to adverse weather conditions, could also be rescheduled to a later date.
In this case, prompt notification will be given. In the area inside the red circle (red zone) of the plan, attached below, the presence of people, pets, parked vehicles is prohibited and vehicular and pedestrian traffic will be suspended. The estimated duration of the reclamation activities is between a minimum of 2 hours and a maximum of 8 hours from the start of the operations which can only take place once the affected area has been completely evacuated. Citizens who will not be able to find temporary hospitality with friends or relatives or who will not be able to engage in other activities will be welcomed at the “Franco Milone” Sports Hall located in via Nino Romano.
