Marc Marquez took pole position at the German Grand Prix, the eleventh MotoGP round of the season. The Spanish Ducati rider set the fastest lap in 1’19″041 and will start ahead of everyone in today’s sprint (3pm) and tomorrow’s race (2pm).

Marco Bezzecchi, eighth, crashed at the start of Q2. Two other Ducatis complete the front row, that of the Gresini team of brother Alex Marquez, slower by just 61 thousandths, while Fabio Di Giannantonio (VR46) will start from third on the grid, 0.147s behind.

In fourth position is the Aprilia of Raul Fernandez’s Trackhouse team, ahead of his teammate Ai Ogura and Fabio Quartararo’s Yamaha. Seventh was Franco Morbidelli (VR46), ahead of Marco Bezzecchi’s Aprilia, victim of a fall at the beginning of Q2: his condition remains to be understood. Teammate Jorge Martin closes the third row. Pedro Acosta’s KTM will start from tenth place, ahead of Pecco Bagnaia (Ducati) and Jack Miller (Yamaha Pramac).
