The game of consequences. A theme dear to ancient philosophers. Every action causes effects and, to translate it into “politicsese”, every election brings about changes. And the municipal exchequer seems destined to record it.
On the table of the mayor, Franz Caruso, elected by a majority that represents a successful example of the much praised and reviled “wide field”, there is the practice of council reshuffle.
The mayor explains: «I have to change something, there are two boxes to fill: the one for Finance which remained empty after the resignation of councilor Giordano and the one which was occupied by the newly elected De Cicco».
But Caruso also seems ready to redefine the weight of the M5S in the municipal executive. «The councilor Battaglia, who was a candidate for the administrative elections on my list where he had obtained the position of second elected, presented himself at the regional elections with the M5s. This is a fact” says Mayor Bruzio “that deserves reflection on my part.” What does it mean? The conceivable scenario is that Caruso considers the weight of the Contian troops in the council to be excessive and that he intends to replace Battaglia.
