‘Ndrangheta in Bagnara, “Family gang” investigation: sentences redetermined NAMES

All 7 sentences against the defendants in the “Family gang” operation were redeterminedfor which the Supreme Court of Cassation had annulled the previous sentence with postponement. Reduction of sentence, therefore, in the Court of Appeal in Reggio Calabria “in reform of the sentence of the Gup issued on 16 July 2019”, for Fortunato Praticò (17 years and 19 days), Rocco Perrello (3 years, 5 months and 10 days ), Samantha Leonardis (1 year, 10 months and 20 days), Fabio Praticò (7 years, 2 months and 20 days), Vincenzo Caratozzolo (9 months and 10 days), Fabio Cacciola (2 years and 2 months) and Domenico Scarcella (10 months). The Court of Appeal reserved “90 days as the deadline for filing the reasons, suspending the terms of precautionary custody for the corresponding period”.

In the “Family gang” investigation, the Reggio Prosecutor’s Office had targeted a group accused of having roamed around Bagnara planning to “conquer” the town on the Costa Viola by shooting, intimidating and burning cars.
