New Year’s Eve, fireworks and fireworks prohibited in Reggio Calabria: order from Mayor Falcomatà

Barrels banned for the entire Christmas period in Reggio Calabria. The mayor of the city ordered it Giuseppe Falcomatà with an order issued on December 24th and which will be in force until midnight on January 8th. In particular, the provision provides for the ban on the use of firecrackers, barrels and pyrotechnic devices of any kind in public places, especially those affected by a greater influx of people.

In addition to green areas and public parks, churches, on the occasion of celebrations, the ban concerns various areas of the city, affected by the holding of concerts and events, and areas affected by the Christmas markets. The provisions concern all the areas affected by the Rai New Year, «The Year to Come».

«In addition to the application of other criminal and administrative sanctions provided for by laws and regulations – it is written in the provision – the violation of this ordinance is punished with a fine ranging from 25 to 500 euros». At the moment there is no news on similar measures adopted in the other main cities of Calabria.
