“With the new year, Calabria will witness the birth of six cultural parks, dedicated to illustrious figures of philosophers, writers and poets. This initiative represents a unique opportunity to enhance the identity heritage of the area, with positive effects on the economic development and cultural animation of the local community”.
The Councilor for Culture of the Calabria Region, Caterina Capponi, announces the publication of the notice dedicated to the creation of these cultural parks, with the hope “that they can obtain recognition as Literary Parks and become points of reference at an international level.
“Cities, villages and landscapes – underlines Capponi – when told in a text, become a cultural and environmental heritage to be protected and enhanced. Therefore, with a total financing of 6 million euros, infrastructural and technological innovation interventions will be carried out, such as the renovation of buildings intended for exhibition spaces and the implementation of immersive technologies and augmented reality. The objective is to enrich the visitor experience and make the parks educational and attractive, offering a journey into literature, memory and identity, to introduce philosophers, poets and writers, and the natural and historical beauties of Calabria” .
