The Court of Review of Catanzaro fully accepted the request presented by the lawyer. Tiziana D’Agosto, canceling the precautionary custody order in prison against Giuseppe Cracolici, born in 2002, involved in the “Artemis” operation conducted by the District Anti-Mafia Directorate of Catanzaro.

In the original ordinance, Cracolici had been accused of serious crimes: participation in an organization dedicated to drug trafficking, participation in the cultivation of a marijuana plantation and the aggravating circumstance of facilitating the mafia gang led by Domenico Cracolici. However, the Court of Review considered the seriousness of the accusations made against the young man to be non-existent, accepting the defense arguments advanced by the lawyer. D’Agosto.

The same fate befell the position of Alessandro Guerrierialso involved in the “Artemis” operation. For the latter, the Court excluded participation in the association dedicated to drug dealing, replacing the measure of precautionary custody in prison with that of house arrest.

The “Artemis” operation had brought to light an alleged criminal association linked to drug trafficking, with accusations that included illicit activities aimed at supporting a mafia gang. However, today’s decisions of the Court of Review reduce the accusatory framework, highlighting the lack of elements to support the hypotheses of crime for the two suspects.
