The monument to homosexuals persecuted under National Socialism has been attacked in Berlin. Police report that in the early hours of last Saturday an unknown man tried to throw a burning object at the memorial, but failed. The man also affixed two tickets to the monument with a varied biblical quotation that denigrates homosexuals. Spiegel brings it back. In the night between Friday and Saturday, in Berlin Grueneweld, there had been another arson attack against a memorial to the victims of Nazism. In this case against a cabin-library part of the installation «Gleis 17» (platform 17), which recalls the deportees of the Holocaust from the local railway station.
