The intense activity of prevention and repression of crimes by the Carabinieri of the Compagnia di Paola continues, who in recent days have carried out an arrest, two complaints and notified the suspension of a public business licence.
In particular, in Fuscaldo, during a house search, the military arrested a 25-year-old convicted felon, found in possession of 12 grams of marijuana, 2 grams of Indian hemp seeds and packaging material, elements considered indicative of drug dealing activity.
During the same intervention, the young man and a 21-year-old woman with no criminal record were reported for receiving stolen goods. Inside the house, in fact, the police found carcasses of motorcycles with abraded frames, moped license plates and four tyres, resulting from a theft which occurred in Fuscaldo on January 25th against a resident.
Further investigations are underway on the remaining seized material to trace the legitimate owners.
After the validation hearing, the 25-year-old was subjected to the precautionary measure of the obligation to report to the Judicial Police.
In the municipality of Paola, however, following constant monitoring activity started by the police since last April, the license of a restaurant business was suspended for 15 days. The provision, ordered by the police commissioner of Cosenza pursuant to art. 100 of the TULPS, arose from the frequent presence of offenders inside the premises.
