A New Zealand family’s vacation to Western Fiji has turned into a real tragedy. A pair of parents were aboard their boat when they went inside to cook leaving their 13-month-old daughter tied to a harness on the deck of the boat. But when they returned, the two discovered the drama: the girl had wriggled free from the protection and fell into the water. Mahina Toki lost her life and all attempts to revive the little girl were in vain.
Mahina, seated and restrained by her harness, was calmly watching a movie, the shocked father and mother told authorities. The police are investigating the matter.
