A dramatic road accident occurred yesterday evening around 8.30pm, along the straight road that runs through the Colla di Librizzi hamlet. A 17-year-old young man is currently hospitalized in desperate conditions in the intensive care unit of the Messina Polyclinic, where he was urgently transferred. According to an initial reconstruction of the incident, the boy was driving his scooter when he began the maneuver to overtake an 118 ambulance. For reasons still being ascertained, during the maneuver the young man lost control of the two-wheeled vehicle, ending up crashing violently into a wall on the side of the road.
