The appointment was long in coming. But it finally arrived. It will be the Hon. Claudio Stefanazzi, commissioner of the Bruzia Federation of the Democratic Party. Choice made by the leader of the democrats, Elly Schlein, and communicated yesterday by the national head of the party organisation, Igor Taruffi, ready, in the aftermath of the provincial assembly held on the banks of the Crati a couple of months ago, to underline how important it was to find a shared solution with respect to the indication of the territorial secretary, inviting the various components of the Democratic Party to overcome the divisions.
And it proved difficult to identify the replacement for Matteo Lettieri, who had left the leadership of the party just a year after taking office. Yesterday, therefore, the official passage, while now a new course is opening for the Democratic Party, also necessary in preparation for future elections.
«The request for the opinion of the National Guarantee Commission has already been sent», we read in the body of the press release, which specifies: «The situation of the Federation of Cosenza and the structures that have been determined within the municipal council, which have fueled further confusion, also in view of next year’s local elections, could not wait any longer for answers». Precisely in recent weeks the Democratic Party has started the organizational phase, certified by the Unity celebrations both at national level and in the territories. The regional one in Lamezia is underway (it will end today), while the initiative in Cosenza is already scheduled, organized by the city club for the next 16 and 17 October.
