Five people ended up under house arrest for conspiracy to commit sports fraud. The raid began at dawn when the carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Reggio Calabria and the financiers of the Special Currency Police Unit of Rome carried out a precautionary custody order issued by the investigating judge at the request of the Prosecutor’s Office. The investigation, called “Penalty”, concerns the world of football and, in particular, the minor leagues. The details of the operation will be announced by the Reggio Calabria prosecutor Giuseppe Borrelli and the investigators during a press conference scheduled for 11am at the Prosecutor’s Office.
