On the urban network the average price of petrol in self-service mode breaks the psychological threshold of 2 euros per litre. Assoutenti reports this, reporting today’s regional data published by Mimit. In the province of Bolzano, petrol in self-service mode is sold today at an average of 2,006 euros per liter (1,929 for diesel), but in various regions prices are now moving towards 2 euros: this is the case of Liguria, which for green records an average of 1.996 euros per litre, or in Basilicata, 1.995 euros/litre. On the motorway, however, the average price of petrol rises to 2.038 euros per litre, 1.969 euros for diesel.

For President Furio Truzzi «The concrete risk is that of a new inflationary spiral which will have negative effects on family income, spending and consumption». «Precisely for this reason – he declares – we sent a letter to the Minister of Business and Made in Italy, Adolfo Urso, to ask him to meet with consumer associations and study immediate measures together with us, starting from the cut in excise duties, to contain the escalation of fuels and regulate retail prices”.
