Rosario De Leo and Queensland achieved the best Sicilian result during the island’s trip to the Csio Roma Piazza di Siena Master d’Inzeo. The rider from Messina, registered with the CI La Palma, won the large category of the Master Ambassador Tenuta Montemagno at the end of the three tests foreseen by the competition regulations. After a first test with an error, De Leo continued his race towards the top of the ranking, closing the other two courses without errors and with a total time of 150″48. The Sicilian team of the President’s Cup Pony presented by Gallo finished in ninth place. The island team, led by team leader Sara Jasmine Ceola and composed of Lorenzo Agosta (CI Il Ciliegio) on Storm du Molin (8/4), Domenico Toscano (CI Del Castello) on Apollon de Bellefiole (4/0) and the sisters Sofia Anna Bruno (CI Del Castello) on Trosca de la Roche (8/4) and Maddalena Antonietta Bruno (CI Del Castello) on Cindarella D’Haryns (4/0), totaled 20 penalties. There were 15 teams on the field representing the Italian Fise Regional Committee.

The victory went to the home team, Lazio, the only one to finish without penalties. The second place goes to Lombardy (4), while Piedmont came in third place (8). It didn’t go well for the Sicilian team competing in the Intesa Sanpaolo President’s Cup (horses). The Sicilian team, under the orders of Giuseppe Militello, was made up of Erika Grazia Arcidiacono (CI Cardinale) from Catania on Normandy du Bois (19/El) and Elena Giuliano (CI Valverde) on Lc’Cannabis Blue (4/4), Damiano Morabito (CI La Palma) from Messina on Holy Moly (0/4) and Caterina Sole Salvadore (CE Ortoliuzzo) on Value Vb Z (4/El) and Ginevra Sorrentino from Palermo (ASD Sporting Wolf) on Girly D’Anbri (8/4). Unfortunately, the two eliminations of Salvadore and Arcidiacono weighed on the final result. However, the young horses produced by Sicilian breeding or ridden by Sicilian riders who took part in the FISE/Masaf Master in Piazza di Siena did well with 13 horses aged 6 and 13 horses aged 7 at the start. In the final for the 6-year-old horses Explosion del Castello went, who under the orders of Mariovalerio Pulvirenti (ASD La Qubba) from Catania obtained sixth position with a total of 4 penalties (0/4; 48″41).

For the seven years, however, there are four horses in the final. The best of our team in fifth place (4; 70″99) is Tyson Van’t Uilenhof ridden by Gianluca Macchiarella (Asd Sporting Wolf) from Palermo. Behind him, sixth place (4; 71″79) goes to Oraldo under Salvatore Caccamo (CI Caccamo). Ninth place (8; 74″88) for Lucky Sister and Francesco Cusumano (D’Albafiorita Asd), while Artakhena Furie (16) and Lorenzo Sciacca placed thirteenth.
