Once again there are those who spread oily and polluting material near Capo Rasocolmo, in San Saba. According to the Naturist Community that attends the area, it is yet another scarring to the environment and the same community by those who oppose the presence of naturists in that stretch of coast.
It is the third time in three years that the Naturist beach of Capo Rasocolmo, in the territory of San Saba, became the subject of a serious act of environmental vandalism. The city councilor is also reported Alessandro Russowho sent an official note to the mayor of Messina.
The remarkable amount of oily and catramous material poured on a large portion of the beach beyond the so -called “sand mountains”, in a recognized area – through the commissioner of 2022 – as a space intended for naturist bathing, represents a serious episode of pollution, which compromises the usability of the beach and represents an environmental crime in all respects.
According to what was highlighted by Russo, The episode is not isolated, but is part of a worrying sequence of actions that are systematically repeated at the beginning of each summer season. The goal, reads the note, would seem twofold: prevent the use of the coast and affect those who use it, in particular the naturist community and citizens who freely express their gender identity.
“We cannot fail to see – writes the councilor – the clear discriminatory and intimidating matrix of the action”. The damage is not only environmental, but also social: “Those who lose themselves annually to perform such a serious act of pollution and intimidation – observes Russo – cannot be considered to have scruples in making more serious facts to the detriment of the free citizens who use that stretch of beach”.
In light of the severity of the event, the councilor has made three formal requests to the municipal administration: an urgent reclamation intervention by Messina Servizi Bene Comune, to avoid the propagation of the pollution; the activation of the municipal police and the competent authorities, including Prefecture and Police Headquarters, to start an investigation and ascertain the responsibilities; A public position of the mayor, to reiterate the commitment of the city of Messina as an inclusive, welcoming and respectful community of civil rights, against all forms of discrimination.
