“Habemus Pontem”. The managing director of the “Strait of Messina”, Pietro Ciucci, brings together in Conclave what once would have defined the “living forces” of the city and re -there was the (not easy) plot of relations and dialogue with the territories. Coming from the meetings he had in Calabria, in Reggio and Villa San Giovanni, yesterday Ciucci intervened during a participatory confrontation held in the Chamber of Commerce, on the initiative of the civic network for infrastructures in the South. In the same morning, he had a face -to -face, at Palazzo Zanca, with the mayor Federico Basile and with the neocommissary of the Port System Authority Ciccio Rizzo.
With the Mayor and the Commissioner of the Port System Authority, mainly of compensatory works were discussed. During the meeting with the Chamber of Commerce, however, the spotlight on the socio-economic and employment repercussions of the large infrastructure in the area were turned on. The president of the Chamber of Commerce, Ivo Blandina, has officially announced the establishment of a consortium company that intends to propose itself as a partner of the “general contractor” for all that concerns subcontracts, supplies, services, with the involvement of numerous Messina, Sicilian and Calabrian companies.
