The first fixed point is there. After a week of intense debate, the presidency of the City Council, barring unforeseen circumstances, has… awarded it Antonio Iannellothe most voted of the entire coalition, first of those elected within the Democratic Party. Having firmly refused to enter the executive, he has essentially put everyone with their backs to the wall.
Speaking of the Council, there are at least four elected officials who are certain to enter. These are: Stephen Soriano, outgoing group leader of the Democratic Party, who obtained 270 votes in the elections of 8 and 9 June. At his side, barring any last-minute developments, there will be Laura Pugliesestrong with his 251 preferences, with an experience in the executive behind him, during the Administration led by Elio Costa. The mayor should give the Democrats, with Cencelli in hand, two councilors as well as the presidency of the City Council. In this case, two city councilors would be replaced, Umberto Lo Bianco (81 votes) and Antonella Petracca (64 preferences).
Three, instead, are the seats destined for the list of the mayor, Centro Studi Progetto Vibo. Two seats are currently top secret even if, considering that Mark Talarico had to give up the presidency of the Council, it is not excluded that he could enter the Executive. Those who are already relatively certain of entering the executive are Lorenza Scrugli186 votes to his credit, and with a strong experience as councilor for Social Policies, during the government led by mayor Elio Costa. Scrugli remained in office until the rift between the then mayor and the Vibo Unica group, of which it was a part, occurred.
