The Senate Budget Committee has given its approval to the amendment reformulated by the Government on the expansion of strategic defense bases and programmes.
“In order to protect the essential interests of State security and to strengthen the industrial capabilities of defense relating to the production and trade of weapons, war material and weapon systems, with one or more decrees of the Minister of Defense in agreement with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, the activities, areas and related works, as well as infrastructure projects, aimed at the creation, expansion, conversion, management and development of defense industrial capabilities, qualified as of strategic interest for national defense”, we read in the text.
