The memorandum of understanding between the State Police and the Conad Ets Foundation was signed, for the realization of joint initiatives aimed at the prevention of gender violence and the promotion of the culture of respect.
The protocol, signed for the State Police by the Central Conduct Crime Director Alessandro Giuliano and for the Conad Ets Foundation by the Secretary General and Director Maria Cristina Alfieri, It officially starts the “Project – together with gender -based violence”, a national initiative aimed in particular to the youngest, which aims to raise awareness of the new generations and provide concrete tools to teachers and families to deal with fundamental issues such as gender equality, consent, discrimination and recognition of diversity.
Gender violence, in fact, is not just a private fact: it is one of the most serious and widespread violations of human rights, with deep roots in cultural stereotypes and inequalities. Addressing it means investing in education and cultural change.
Through the portal www.progettispetpetto.it, free didactic materials, documentaries, testimonies, and training meetings for students, teachers and families of first and second grade secondary schools will be made available. Interactive workshops, campaigns on social media and the involvement of qualified experts for training activities also at local level are also planned.
The protocol also provides concrete actions to support the victims, including reintegration activities in the world of work, and an in -depth analysis of the prevention and protection tools already in place, such as the measures of the Quaestor and the emergency devices activated by the State Police.
The agreement is part of the furrow of the permanent campaign of the State Police “This is not love”, and strengthens the joint commitment of institutions and reality of the third sector for a company based on respect, equity and security.
The State Police is aware that the agreement reached with the Conad Ets Foundation was born from the common need to increase the safety levels of potential victims, in the wake already traced with the permanent campaign “This is not love” and identifying new and effective ways to spread gender culture, reaching in an increasingly widespread way, young people and women not only in the private sphere but also in the commonly frequented places as well as in schools and in moments of svago, Initiatives involving both customers and the staff who work there.
