The path towards the approval of the municipal structural plan continues and could reach the adoption phase by the end of the year. The objective is in fact to equip the city with the new urban planning tool by definitively sending the old Prg i to the archivesIt has been in force since 2002 and is therefore dated, as is Calabria’s urban planning law itself, almost “the same age”, which is being discussed at a regional level for a regulatory adjustment in step with the times.
The stages overcome over the months – starting from the green light to the preliminary PSC document approved at the end of December last year – are in line with the timetable indicated by the deputy mayor Giusy Iemma, owner of territorial planning, who now aims to have the document adopted by the end of 2024.
To reach this first goal there will be further steps to take, one of which will take place already this week: next Thursday, in fact, the inspection of the Plan Office’s instructors on the PSC ends, integrated with the observations of the planning conference (concluded in April ). Subsequently, councilor Iemma will be the one to discuss with the designer and the technicians of the planning office, and then present the PSC to the political component; to be evaluated whether this will happen in a conference of group leaders or in the council commission.
